The Bremont Supermarine S302 GMT is a 40mm silver-cased dive watch measuring 12.5mm thick and 49mm lug to lug. With 300 meters of water resistance, a steel case back, and a matte black dial, and a matching ceramic bezel. As established by the original – and currently still available – S302, the new generation uses a Bremont-modified take on the ETA 2893, a 4Hz automatic movement with a caller GMT functionality (aka. an independently adjustable 24-hour hand). Leading the pack is a Spring of 2021 launched, updated version of the brand’s popular, vintage-influenced Supermarine dive watch that added a new GMT function. Which, alongside that highly praised piece was the model we had a chance to go hands-on with recently, here: the Bremont Supermarine Chrono. The Supermarine 500 is the first Bremont to feature a HEV which is of an automatic version located in the centre of the left hand case. I think this looks superb as it's plain and simple yet adds a really nice feature to the side profile on that side.
Both the Omega Ploprof and the Rolex Sea-Dweller command a similar amount of wrist real estate, but they are roughly two and three times the price respectively. For those who enjoy large dive watches, the Bremont Supermarine 2000 is a fantastic option, costing significantly less than comparable options from Omega and Rolex.
